Description of the Ingredients

The source and chemical class of the ingredients are given below.

  • Citrus pectin: A water-soluble polysaccharide found naturally in the peel of citrus fruits such as orange, lemon and grapefruit.
  • Potassium citrate: The potassium salt of citric acid. It is an ingredient used in the manufacture of foods and food supplements.
  • Magnesium citrate: The magnesium salt of citric acid.
  • Guava extract: A plant extract obtained from the guava (Psidium guajava) plant.
  • Inulin: A polysaccharide composed of fructose units, found naturally in plants such as chicory root.

The potassium and magnesium in the product are present in citrate salt form; the amounts in the table show the salt weight. The elemental mineral equivalents of these salts and the nutrient reference value percentages are given in the section below.

A doctor decides on the treatment of a diagnosed condition. You can consult your pharmacist about the use of the product.

Nutrient Amounts and Health Claims

The nutrient amounts provided by the daily portion are given below. The amounts are given on the basis of the elemental mineral contained in the citrate salts in the composition.

NutrientIn the daily portion (1 sachet)Nutrient reference value (NRV)%NRV
Magnesium63.0 mg375 mg17%
Potassium289.4 mg2000 mg14%

A health claim for a nutrient may be used where the daily portion provides at least 15% of the nutrient reference value for that nutrient. In the daily portion of Gucit, magnesium meets this condition; as the potassium amount remains below the threshold, no claim has been written for potassium. The subject of a claim is not the product but the nutrient contained in Gucit.

  • Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance.
  • Magnesium contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
  • Magnesium contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
  • Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function.

The contribution stated in the claims applies where the daily portion of 1 sachet is consumed. There is no health claim permitted in Türkiye for citrus pectin, guava extract, inulin or the citrate part of the citrate salts; these ingredients appear on the page with their names and amounts. A varied and balanced diet together with a healthy lifestyle is essential.

Basis of the Claims

The nutrient claims on this page are taken verbatim from the list of permitted claims in Annex 1 to the Guideline on the Use of Health Claims in Foods and Food Supplements (26.04.2023) published by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), together with the Regulation on the Use of Health Claims in Foods and Food Supplements (Official Gazette No. 32169, 20.04.2023). For a claim to be used, the daily portion must meet the source condition defined in Annex 4 to the Guideline, that is, at least fifteen per cent of the Nutrient Reference Value set out in Annex 5; this proportion is shown for each nutrient in the table above. Claims included in the annexes to the Guideline are used without an application for authorisation to, or notification of, the Agency, provided that the provisions of the Regulation and the Guideline are complied with. The product is a food supplement within the scope of the Turkish Food Codex Communiqué on Food Supplements (No: 2013/49).
